THE MOVEMENT OF SHADOWS
"Imogen Gregory's project at Central Saint Martins looks at how shadows alter the way we read a body.
By removing familiar visual markers, facial features, size, height, or skin colour, the work highlights how quickly identity can be reduced to an outline. The project focuses on the gap between what's visible and what's true, emphasizing how much detail disappears when someone is seen only in silhouette. It reflects on how easily perception shapes identity, especially in a culture where first impressions often stand in for understanding".
